We are specialists in the chip less cold forming of sheet metal, tubes and profile sections, known as the Eckold Forming technique, and as pioneers of Clinching an innovative way of connecting sheet metal components.
About Eckold
Eckold Limited was founded in the Autumn of 1980 after trading from Alfred Herbert's premises in Coventry for many years. Walter Eckold was founded in 1936 in Wemigerode after his departure from Junkers Aircraft.
In 1948 the company moved to St. Andreasberg in Germany (parent company). In 1957 he founded Eckold AG in Trimmis in Switzerland (sister company). There are now agents worldwide able to service the globe. Eckold are renowned for there world famous Kraftformer range of Sheet Metal Shaping Machinery and the Clinching range of Metal Joining Machinery and Tooling.
In the early 1990's Eckold Ltd started to diversify into other areas of interest, this included a wide range of Gas Springs and Dampers being introduced into their program, followed by the further addition of quality products for the Commercial Vehicle and Engineering Hardware sectors.
The most recent innovation in 2006 was the acquisition of TI and its manufacturing facility. Eckold could now offer a range of Vertical and Horizontal Clamps for the rotational mould manufacturing industry.
